As a direct access immigration barrister, the criminal report on IT Verticals Ltd seemed to be the nail in the coffin of any such cases.
I am happy to be able to say that this is not the case.
I have had a few such cases where the clients have been caught up in the IT Vertical Ltd scandal. Some of the cases have gone south and been lost but these have been where the clients have no explanation and no justification for large numbers of payments.
However I have had cases lately where I have won, two spring to mind.
The first was where the individual did not have evidence that he had done any work but was able to explain what he had done, what helped was that he had only done 2 pieces of work and then stopped as he found the company to be in his words “dodgy”, how right he was.
The second was where the client had done one piece of work for IT Verticals but had not claimed for this on his application form. He did not need to claim for the small amount of money he had earned and he thought it again an untrustworthy company. At the appeal I produced the Tier 1 form where it listed the companies he relied upon and lo IT Verticals was not there. The Judge again allowed the appeal there and then.
If you have any IT Vertical work in your past come and see me before applying for further leave or indeed an extension as I have just done this as they are now seeking to revoke British passports for those who have used IT Verticals as far back as 9 years.
It is vital that any application puts forward the best possible explanation before the application is made rather than tidying up the mess afterwards.
I and my team are at your service and will happily assist you if you have such problems.
