As a direct access immigration barrister Imperium Chambers continues to expand, we will be expanding through a clerk / paralegal. At present I and my colleague Mr Jay Gajjar are both busy and are currently training up Ms Kareesha Maitaram, we will also be planning to recruit the next two pupils for the coming years.
The benefit of this is that if I am unavailable then rather than as previously the work would need to be returned, now it can be retained in Chambers, this has the benefit of keeping the brief in Chambers and enabling continuity to be retained rather than it going to a stranger.
Mr Gajjar has been working with me since I was at Tooks and is someone I happily trust my work with rather than returning it to someone outside Chambers. We have worked together doing everything from making FLR applications to his assisting me in the Supreme Court.
In addition we now have Mrs Maitaram who as a pupil has been receiving excellent feedback from solicitors.
We are excited at the prospect of the further expansion.
Paul Turner is an experienced and highly regarded direct access immigration barrister also licensed to practice litigation and has a team of 4 to help make any problem appear its true size. He is the head of Imperium Chambers, a boutique, possibly the first, set designed to help direct clients who do not want a solicitor and who want direct access with a barrister who was called in 1998 and has been practising immigration since 1999. I am also a member of the excellent set of Tony Metzer QC, Goldsmith Chambers, based in the Temple. He can be contacted on 0207 242 3488.
