2015 was a year of significant change for me as a direct access immigration barrister and also for my direct access cleitns. As those who have instructed me in the past or who have followed my blog will recall, I previously accepted instructions under the public access scheme whilst being a tenant at Mansfield Chambers.
However, in April 2015, I made the decision to set up my own set of chambers, Imperium Chambers, having identified the need to provide a more seamless and better service than that which a conventional barristers’ chambers can offer.
I would like to end 2015 and begin 2016 for thanking you all for your support during this transition. Imperium Chambers has been successful for all concerned with many clients receiving leave to remain and other positive results. As 2016 begins, I am looking to develop the package I am able to offer those in need of my help and hope to deliver more successes through the next calendar year.
The new year promises to be a busy one. There is much work to be done. The government seems to be cracking down on those at the margins of society with ever more vigour. There is a real need to get on top of your immigration status. Now Christmas is out of the way I would suggest booking an appointment and coming and seeing me or an other reputable barrister as soon as possible in order to get your life on track.
I still believe a well prepared application is the way to go. It sets up the way forward for any appeal / challenge. I am still getting clients who have done the work themselves who have messed it all up and then come to me. I would ask that regular readers of my blog or friends of those who read the blog act quickly and effectively.
For January, and recognising the expense of Christmas I will be reducing the initial consultation fee of 25%. If there is a need to make an application and the payment is made up front that will also be reduced – the amount depending on the case.
Make your new years resolution getting your status sorted out. I and my dedicated team will do everything to help.
